Based on a new patent that GOOGLE won this year from North, GOOGLE may have a savvy design in mind that rivals those of Apple and Meta. But it’s the hints about developer tools that might be used to help people building AR apps that signals GOOGLE’s larger plan: to let the ecosystem create the innovation that will push forward the XR world.
XR solutions are set to dominate headlines despite GOOGLE I/O featuring an array of updates to its portfolio of technologies spanning from artificial intelligence to machine learning, as well as to its cloud technologies.
