As cloud-native environments and data centers continue to drive innovation to the edge, the new 4th Gen AMD EPYC processors will once again raise the bar. During Computex 2024, Jun 04-07, 2024, booth #M0806, Taipei, Taiwan, MSI will showcase new server platforms powered by 4th Gen AMD EPYC processors, offering a whole new level of performance, highly scalability and efficiency.
MSI’s newest server portfolio based on the 4th Gen AMD EPYC processors demonstrate how the company is continuing to lead in both performance and efficiency. ‘With 4th Gen AMD EPYC processors, MSI’s server portfolio provides scalability and flexibility with CXL technology and DC-MHS architecture,’ said Danny Hsu, MSI’s general manager of Enterprise Platform Solutions Business Unit. ‘MSI’s newest server portfolio can satisfy the ever-increasing needs of scale-out cloud applications and data centers.’
MSI is collaborating with CXL (Compute Express Link) technology leaders for advanced CXL solutions that are designed for large-scale AI training and HPC (High-Performance Computing) applications, including AMD, Samsung and Micron. This further underlines MSI’s continuing role in the frontline of AI and the computing revolution.
One recent example is a 2U server with the S2301 server name, dual-socket 4th Gen AMD EPYC CPUs and featuring CXL 2.0 specifications. The new S2301 server from MSI is an ideal machine for workloads that require extensive processing of data like AI/ML, large-scale databases and in-memory applications. The machine is outfitted with E3.S drive bays for up to 8 TB of memory.
Have a look at the GPU-accelerated, 4U G4101 workstation, which is built on the AMD EPYC 9004 Series, and comes with slots for three double-wide GPUs – showcasing MSI’s efforts to provide universal extreme single- and dual-socket server setups. In the AI inferencing sphere, the 2U CX271-S4056 all-flash platform incorporates a single-socket AMD EPYC 9004 Series processor with slots for two double-wide GPU cards.
These CD360-S4051-X2 and CD260-S4051-X4 multi-node servers enables higher computing density and efficiency and target comprehensive solutions for the next-generation data centre for cloud services.
MSI’s newest platforms are designed specifically for better server serviceability and system management, with OCP DC-MHS M-DNO architecture and the DC-SCM2 Server Management Module with Aspeed AST2600 BMC. Now managing powerhouse MSI servers has become easier than ever before.
But MSI is also an innovative force in the global computing market. It is a leader in gaming laptops, graphics cards, monitors, motherboards, and now enterprise-grade server products that raise the bar for superior computing. MSI is focused on the development of next-generation form factors and technology that leverages its expertise to deliver industry-leading gaming performance for gaming, enterprise and cloud-computing environments.
At Computex 2024, MSI will live-demo its latest server solution with 4th Gen AMD EPYC processors, as well as collaborate with world-leading technology partners to create the ultimate high-performance computing, and show the world its position in leading server technology innovation. Data centre or cloud-native, MSI is dedicated to what this looks like for the future. Welcome to the future of high-performance computing, with MSI.
