If there’s ever a place to buy something for less than anywhere else, it’s Amazon. This e-commerce juggernaut is undoubtedly where you go for the best deal, especially during Amazon Prime Day and Black Friday. The holy grail of shopping holidays, these events are definitely worth filling up your calendar, but what you won’t find so readily on other websites are Amazon’s deals – great ones, too. Here’s a showcase of Amazon’s best kept secret deals.
Jumping straight into our editorial favourite, today’s daily deal you can’t miss: the LG CordZero All-in-One Auto Empty cordless vacuum, normally $999.99 and on sale today for $600.62. That’s a $399.37 savings and LG’s own website, according to the internet. If you get sticker shock and need that little nudge to pull the trigger, this 40 per cent markdown might just be it.

With the Fitbit Google Ace LTE smartwatch, Amazon won’t allow the young tech nerds to miss out on the deal: This product was designed by Fitbit for kids ages six and older, helping them get active and play vs screen time with rewards for daily milestones and parental controls to manage device features. But these deals are only the tip of the iceberg, as Amazon offers at least one of these promotions every single day – appealing, whether it’s for a high-tech gadget or a practical household item.
Just as we left Amazon’s newly opened CD sale, we paused at one last promotion: ‘$99 JVC LCD TV (42-inch)’. Many of us were tempted to complete the bargain-hunt by picking up one of these TVs. But the lesson of the last few days is that we didn’t need to. Electronics of all kinds, from flat-screen TVs to iPads, had been deeply discounted from the start, often for the sole purpose of generating online traffic and publicity for Amazon. Even low-end goods – those deals that quite literally pop up in your face – are more than you need. In terms of my experience, I really don’t need any more air purifiers, humidifiers or electric toothbrushes. And yet I know, I’d find a use for them all. This is the ultimate allure of Amazon: with an obsessive display of customer service, reliable shipping, and ever-expanding selection, the e-commerce giant has become a retail institution.
Amazon’s position of being able to offer such great deals is a result of its supply chains and deep partnerships with brands, combined with a real understanding of what we desire. Between the hundreds of thousands of products available in unique variations, but from the same brand, you can save some money and make your life more beautiful.
And so, the next time I’m looking to get a deal – to score a deal – I can return to Amazon and click on today’s deals. I can drive my family into the future. I can fill my home with the latest technology. I can get fit. I can keep my kids fit. I can hit Amazon and get some discounts. Taste the savings. Get back in the game. Deal!
