Amazon Prime Day will be back in 2024, which means it’s time to prepare for what will no doubt be the deals event of the year. For those of you who are new to the world of the massively dominant Prime shopping club, Prime Day is a 24- or 48-hour period in July when members get exclusive access to bargains on just about everything on the site. These offers span the entire spectrum of products sold by Amazon, from consumer electronics and other gadgets, fashion and furnishings to toys, books, and home and garden products.
We don’t yet know the exact dates of Prime Day 2024, but it’s a safe bet it will fall in mid-July. For Amazon Prime members only, this is an opportunity to land the best discounts of the year. If you are not already an Amazon Prime member, consider timing a 30-day free trial to run around the time of the sale. And if you’re not comfortable signing up for a subscription, don’t worry, there’ll be plenty of discounts for non-members as well, not to mention similar savings extravaganzas from the likes of Target, Best Buy, and others.
Prime Day, as its name suggests, is a veritable Kowloon Walled City of commerce – something for everyone who shops, whether you’re after an Echo speaker, Kindle e-reader, or Fire TV device. Amazon gadgets see their prices cut to all-time lows during Prime Day. The more outlandish the world of Gear becomes, the more attractive the convenience of Prime might seem. Prime Day is also a free fire sale of clothing, footwear, appliances, and other tech accessories.
Amazon often starts Prime Day with early deals in the days leading up to the official sale dates, which not only helps to build shoppers’ excitement but provides a preview of what the main event might look like. Electronics are notorious for snagging early deals as well, so tech-lovers in particular can get quite excited.
It’s Electronics Day at Engadget, and if you’re looking for deals on headphones, or earbuds, or gaming accessories, gaming laptops or SSDs, microSD cards, robot vacuums or anything else, Prime Day 2024 is going to be as good as it gets. Yes, Prime Day has traditionally been heavily focused on electronics, and this year won’t be any different.
