When you combine affordability and plastic, you usually think of cheap. Although the B3310 does have an all plastic construction, it’s sturdy. No part of the phone rattles when shaken or creaks when pressed. You can easily tell that this phone was constructed by the plastic gods themselves. And it’s also durable. While I wouldn't necessarily call it bulletproof, the phone can easily withstand accidental drops.

The display has everything going for it. The screen is bright, clear, and has decent viewing angles. Where it fails is in it’s diminutive size and its ability to be seen under direct sunlight. Underneath the display is the navigation array. It has a large five-way navigation pad, two soft keys, and answer and end call keys.

To the left side of the phone, you find a volume rocker. And to the right is a dedicated camera button and charging port. And finally, the back has a 2 MP camera lens and a microSD slot behind the battery.

Features 

Under the hood of the Samsung B3310 lies Samsung’s proprietary OS. It’s fast, responsive, and simple. The home screen consists of a menu bar with the following shortcuts to messaging, music player, organizer, and Facebook. There’s also a direct link to MySpace. In this day in age, all the MySpace link does is take up space—no point intended.

As fast and responsive the OS might be, the B3310 is practically useless when connected to the internet. The phone doesn’t support 3G and it lacks Wifi connectability. So web browsing is unbearably slow.

The 2 MP camera doubles as a camcorder. Although the software is fast, the good quality images leave something to be desired. Your hands can be as steady as the top neurosurgeon in the world. The phone supports MP3 and comes with a handset. The handset jack is proprietary, so it doesn’t accept 3.5 mm headphones, which sucks. What makes matters even worse is the included handset is uncomfortable and the sound quality isn’t great. However, the call quality is very clear.
